Styled Shoot at Oakley Hall Manor
The location
This month I was lucky enough to join an insanely talented team of wedding creatives for a styled shoot organised by Maroux.
Being based on the South Coast in Poole, Dorset, I headed over to Hampshire to capture the shoot at the impressive grounds of Oakley Hall Hotel on a sunny spring day, where the venue served as the perfect backdrop.
The vision
The styling was romantic, modern and minimal. Think soft silk draping, seasonal tulips, candlelight and sculptural blueberries (!) - everything felt really intentional and considered.
Jess from Maroux tells us more about the vision…
“I wanted really minimal pieces with one floral moment using seasonal tulips. The moodboard focused heavily on the tablescape, where I have the most creative direction. We evolved the shoot to include the trending drape projection, which worked really well.”
Capturing the Day
Throughout the day I captured a mix of iPhone content and camcorder footage which added a nostalgic, romantic feel to everything we created.
Same-Day Video Drape Projection
Over lunch I worked on a same-day edit which we later projected onto Maroux’s draped backdrop for the evening setup, which Katherine and Her Camera captured beautifully.
Same-day edits are definitely not the easiest thing to pull off. Capturing content throughout the day whilst simultaneously editing footage ready to project back within hours comes with a lot of pressure, but the final result completely transformed the space and created a unique guest experience - adding a completely different layer to content creation.
Same-day projection edits are now available as part of the Reel The Love experience. For bookings and enquiries, get in touch here.
